POP-UPS – ANNIS THIS AUTUMN

Wednesday, 10th April 2024

You may have noticed that popular needle felting tutor, Annis McGowan and her Herdwick Sheep Doorstop, have been missing from ArtisOn so far this year. The good news is – she’s back!

Annis teaches how to sculpt with needlefelt – using a special needle to mesh the wool fibres and form a shape. Her designs are striking, and her workshops always fly off the shelf. So, we’ve pinned her down – we have a surprise “Herdy” workshop PLUS a brand-new workshop too!
Needle felting is a meditative creative craft with infinite possibilities, so join Annis and get the bug!

Herdwick Sheep Doorstop – Thu 03 October 2024

Create this iconic Herdy with Annis – a heavy-weight and highly unique and extremely cute Herdwick Sheep doorstop. Made from a blended wool mix, including iconic Herdwick fleece, this beautiful sheep is created using needle felting techniques to create a soft but heavy door stop with bags of unique personality! Magnificent Mallard Duck in Needlefelt – Fri 04 October 2024

A brand-new workshop from Annis – you can create this handsome boy and learn additional techniques from Annis too. This magnificent mallard duck is built over a simple wire armature to ensure stability. He stands 25cm high and measures 30cm from tail to beak and will look magnificent as he’s created from richly coloured unspun wools. View the workshop here.
