Booking Terms
Our workshops are provided by practicing artists and creatives. We work with them to share their skills and expertise with people who are keen to learn more about the arts and crafts they specialise in. As a not-for-profit organisation, we have to operate booking terms that ensure we can facilitate viable, enjoyable workshops for all parties. As such, if customers need to cancel, we appreciate it when they can either transfer the value of their booking to another activity, retain it as credit against future activity, or donate it to support our aims, rather than requesting a refund.
It is important before booking that you understand our workshop and booking policies. Making a booking is acceptance of these terms.
Cancellation Terms
We’re sorry you want to cancel your booking. To cancel your booking, please email bookings@artison.co.uk or call 01765 689637.
• If you wish to cancel your booking and there is more than 3 weeks until the date of the event you can request a refund (subject to a £20 admin charge). Alternatively you can donate the value of your booking to ArtisOn, or transfer to another workshop, or keep the value as credit for future use, without incurring a charge. Any credit will be valid for 12 months from date of issue.
• If you wish to cancel your booking at any time between 8 days and 3 weeks before the activity, your fee cannot be refunded or transferred. We will however endeavour to fill your place, and if successful, will offer you credit minus a £20 admin charge, that you can use to book onto another course within a year of issue. If the face value has been reduced by ArtisOn to fill the space, the refund will be for the discounted face value price paid for the place, minus a £20 admin charge.
• If canceling your booking one week or less before your workshop, your fee cannot be refunded or transferred. In this scenario, you may wish to consider gifting your place to someone. If the person attending the workshop changes, we are grateful you let us know by contacting us using the details above.
• The same conditions apply for workshops paid for using Gift Vouchers or credit, however cancellations of such bookings will not result in a cash refund, even when the cancellation is requested more than three weeks before the workshop. Instead, you will receive the relevant value as a credit.
• If you cancel your booking, you cannot book onto the same workshop within 3 months of cancellation. This is to avoid abusing sale and discount code offers. In the unfortunate situation where it is rebooked, your place will be cancelled and the fee refunded minus a £30 transaction fee.
Transfers, Credits and Gift Vouchers
The workshop you can transfer onto depends on the current public availability. A member of our team can advise you of this.
• If the value of the new workshop is greater than your original booking, you will be required to pay the difference. (If you have gift vouchers, you may use these to pay the balance).
• If the value of the new workshop is less than your original booking, you can either donate the difference to ArtisOn, or receive the value as credit to use against future workshops. Any credit given is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
• Our standard gift vouchers and credits are valid for one year following the date of issue. You may use your voucher or credit to book on future workshops as long as the booking is made within the expiry date of the voucher.
• If you purchase a gift voucher or accept a credit, you cannot request it be changed into a cash refund at a later date for any reason.
Please note that, if eligible, bookings can only be transferred once, including when booked with a gift voucher.
If cancelled any booking made with a credit note will be subject to a 20% admin fee.
Should ArtisOn need to cancel or reschedule a workshop
In the rare event that ArtisOn needs to cancel your workshop, We will
• Make every effort to provide at least 10 days notice of cancellation to those who have already enrolled.
• Attempt to reschedule the workshop to meet the needs of all attendees.
• Issue a full refund for the amount paid or with your permission, transfer your booking to a rescheduled date, or provide you with credit for the amount paid
The only circumstances under which we would seek to cancel or reschedule your workshop within 10 days notice would be those outside of our control, for example tutor illness or extreme bad weather. We appreciate that some attendees travel from afar to participate in our workshops. As we cannot guarantee that any workshop will definitely proceed, please note any travel plans and or associated costs are not the responsibility of ArtisOn, and booking is at the customer’s risk.
