2024 Round Up

Friday, 13th December 2024

What an amazing and eventful year we have had!  We’ve seen a successful team transition, the wonderful Vicky Smith join the team to work marvels in our kitchen, welcomed 8 new tutors for our 2025 programme and bid a fond farewell to Sue and Gaynor at our big bash.

Thank you to all our wonderful tutors that have shared their knowledge and skills on our workshops this year and to the 1000+ people that have participated and created some amazing artwork! We appreciate every single one of you.

Here are just a few highlights from workshops run this year.

Above: Carving wooden bowls with Mike Craig, blacksmithing some beautiful garden flowers with Adrian Wood, pole-lathe bowls with Chris Helliwell, willow weaving baskets with Jess Wilkinson and making iconic herdwick sheep doorstops with Annis McGowen.

Below: Paperclay lanterns with Charlotte Morrison, Alan with his woven wall hanging thanks to Agnes Smallwood. David mastering the potter’s wheel under the tutelage of Claude Frere-Smith. All smiles at the stained glass panel workshop run by Lizzy Hippisley-Cox, wildlife in soft pastels with Sue-Orrey-Godden.
