Get creative this Christmas with a festive lino printing workshop where you’ll design and print your own collection of handmade seasonal stationery.
With guidance from artist Hannah Turlington, you’ll learn the basics of lino printing, from transferring your design onto the lino to carefully cutting your image and printing it by hand. You could create a traditional festive motif, playful seasonal characters, stars, foliage or a pattern of your own invention – perfect for adding a personal touch to your Christmas preparations.
Once you’ve created your printing block, you’ll use it to make your own printed designs on paper and card. Choose a combination of projects to suit you, whether that’s beautiful wrapping paper, Christmas cards, gift tags or festive bunting. Experiment with repeating patterns, colours and layouts to create a coordinated collection, or try a few different ideas.
Handmade and full of character, your finished prints will be lovely for dressing up presents, decorating your home or sharing with friends and family.
No previous lino printing experience is necessary. Come along for a relaxed, creative day and get a head start on a more handmade Christmas!
