Sophie Longhurst

Sophie Longhurst is a paper flower artist, author and florist based in North Yorkshire. Inspired by her love of floristry and fascination with nature, she creates beautifully realistic paper flowers that capture the intricate details, delicate colours and unique character of real blooms.

Her work celebrates the beauty of the natural world, with particular attention to the shape, texture and subtle variations of each petal. Sophie is passionate about sharing her craft and helping others discover the pleasure of creating something beautiful by hand.

She is the author of Crafting Authentic Paper Flowers, a book inspired by her love of realistic flowers and the techniques used to bring them to life.

Sophie’s workshops offer a chance to slow down, enjoy some creative time and learn the art of paper flower making in a relaxed, friendly setting. She guides participants through each stage of the process, sharing her skills and techniques while encouraging everyone to work at their own pace and enjoy the experience.

For Sophie, paper flower making is about more than the finished bloom. It’s an opportunity to appreciate the little details, enjoy the process of making and discover the beauty that can be created from a simple piece of paper.
