Hester is a full-time printmaker whose work sells in galleries around Britain. An experienced tutor, Hester has an extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques – she specialises in collagraphs but incorporates all aspects of printmaking in her work. In 2011 she created work inspired by the Vale of York Viking Hoard.
