Colin Swinton

Colin has been teaching Botanical and Landscape Watercolour painting techniques for over 30 years to both beginners and skilled students. His has also taught Celtic and Mediaeval pictorial Illumination and held workshops and summer schools all over the country. He is highly regarded for his knowledge of a wide range of styles from loose flower studies to detailed imagery.

Colin finds teaching adults, widening their awareness of the subject, tapping into their enthusiasm and seeing an expansion of their abilities and critical faculties extremely rewarding. He acknowledges an unforeseen benefit in that teaching has enhanced his own experience and knowledge of the watercolour medium in both landscape and botanical genres.
