Amy O’Driscoll
Amy O’Driscoll is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, textiles and ceramics. With a Master’s degree in Ceramics, her work is deeply rooted in material exploration and storytelling, often drawing inspiration from the rich folklore and traditions of her Celtic heritage. Through layered surfaces, hand-built forms and expressive mark making, Amy creates work that blends mythology, memory and a sense of playful curiosity.
Nature also plays a significant role in her practice, with organic textures, found materials and botanical impressions frequently appearing throughout her work. Whether working in clay, cloth or paint, she is interested in the tactile relationship between maker and material, allowing instinct, narrative and process to guide each piece.
Alongside her studio practice, Amy is a passionate educator who has been teaching and facilitating workshops for many years. She enjoys creating welcoming and engaging learning environments where participants can experiment freely, develop confidence and connect with their own creativity through hands-on making.
