Swinton Bivouac are holding a brand new event with lots of great activities inspired by the wonderful moorland and woodland around the Swinton Bivouac, Druids Temple and the Swinton Estate.

ArtisOn have been invited to set up their own creative corner alongside the festival. So we’ll be providing some opportunities additional to anything previously published in our own programme, to participate in a selection of creative activities inspired the woodland and outdoors.  You can watch demos, drop in and have-a-go AND book a handful short taster sessions taking place at the festival throughout the weekend.

Join us at the festival and take part in any of he following. You cannot book here – all places are booked via the Swinton website here where you can scroll through all the various activities available during the weekend….from Woodland School and Forest Yoga to Orienteering, Estate Guided Walks and Foraging Courses around the Druid’s Temple.

What to expect

Time at ArtisOn is designed to take you away from it all and provide the environment, the time and the guidance you need to create. You can expect a warm welcome, skilled and friendly tutors plus the chance to meet like-minded people keen to share ideas and experiences.

There will usually be two workshops going on and we encourage everyone to mingle and be nosey about what the other workshop is up to!

Arrive in time to meet other participants over a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits before beginning your session at the appointed time. There will be a mid-session break for refreshments and a chance to talk over progress with others. All refreshments are included.

Finish time is given as a target – there are occasions when the session may overrun so do let us know if you need to be away promptly.

“Charlotte was very friendly and reassuring when ‘problems’ with the pieces occurred! The best thing was spending time with my daughter and having a day to play!”
