Anthea originally trained as an artist and taught resistant materials in secondary schools for 9 years. After this she worked in environmental education for the North York Moors National Park and whilst working there she developed an interest in willow as a result of attending a hedgerow weaving course.
An increasing involvement in working with willow has led her to develop courses in willow weaving, tailored to children and adults of all abilities. She has delivered willow weaving classes for the last 10 years. Anthea’s philosophy is that no-one is allowed out of the door without a finished piece of work they can be proud of!
